Playing music through your sound card Vista |
To play sound and voice through your soundcard in vista is done pretty much the same way that it is done in Windows XP |
Click start and go to control panel Select the Sound and Audio Properties There are 2 sections to making this happen. One is in the playback section where the microphone selection must NOT be muted And the other is in the recording section where the wave out mix or stereo mix must be selected. |
What this means is sound that is normally played through your speakers, is still played through your speakers but also through your microphone option in the soundcard. By unmuting the microphone option in the playback you are enabling microphone action as the music plays. Remember before you go to a chat room and try this out do some testing on your pc to make sure your volume levels are set right This can be done using Windows built in sound recorder that can be found here; Click start go to all programs then go to accessories and then entertainment in there you will find the sound recorder which will record whatever is sposed to be comming out of the speakers including the microphone input Happy playing |
